The song is titled Samugele and is performed by a new artiste from AKSidi – Dzaya. It’s a club banger type of jam plus the artiste sounds like a better version of our own Wizkid. The Masterkraft-like beat was crafted by a fast rising AKSidi producer known as Rolex.

Ibid Adamm turns out to be the very first song to be featured on the new AKSidiMP3 #OldSongStillSweet Series hosted by me.

The song was released in mid-2012 by the then trending Music Artistes of HitFak3, Uyo. It was produced by Penz and performed by Pattina, AK-Smuth, IllRhymes, Lybra, Pope Don X and MaliQ who laced the simple and dope hook that made it go viral for days.

It was the very first time I realized how smart the fast rising music artistes were then; they came together to do a whole new unique piece of music despite the difference in their personal style of music. It was also the first time a Music Producer from AKSidi released a song performed by other artistes.

Fast forward to the present time, a lot of changes can be easily spotted. Only very few of the artistes on this song are still consistent or even still in the music game. Some of them also transformed; Ill Rhymes turned to iLLest while MaliQ grew to become Ikpa Udo.

Mannie K took up Rap as a hobby towards the end of his secondary school education. He grew up listening to Nigerian Songs which helped him gradually unravel his talent in music.

His style of Rap has been described as a fusion of witty lines and comedic tones on indigenous Afro-sounds. He recently hooked up with the self acclaimed Ibibio rap god – Zillions on his new single titled Dakkada.

For most of you who may not have known, today is the birthday of the self-acclaimed “King of Ibibio Rap” – Ikpa Udo. I am very sure that you are a big fan of his music, so go ahead and Drop your best wishes for him here!!!


I was just reading Ladi Priti’s latest OSSS’ Article some moments ago on which she mentioned how the birthday boy transformed from the MaliQ I knew to the Ikpa Udo he is today. Yeah, they say that “change is constant” but I will love to say that “Ikpa Udo is constant” too… I mean that he’s not ready to retire from doing music. He’s one of the few artistes I normally use as an example of “consistent artistes”. Time without number, he has been dishing out new hot singles for our enjoyment. I appreciate and respect him for that and sure you are too.

Prospa is finally back from his hiatus… You should check his two new songs I’m Grateful and Bless You after the cut…

Prospa of #TeamTheMatter is never backing out as Fans of the all-round Entertainer and OAP may have thought. Asides from the numerous shows and functions that he has been consistently shutting down, he has been working in the Studio with the likes of Otyno and Sa’Shay to put out new juicy sounds.

He goes reggae on the first song – “I’m Grateful” which is produced by the independent serial hit-maker – Sa’Shay. He appreciates and praises God for good life, family and the success he’s steadily gaining from his music career. It’s a nice jam to end the end year with for all that have gone this far.

After praising God, Prospa moves on to show off his girl wooing skills on the produced by Otyno song he titles “Bless You”. The song is more of a follow up tracks to his first two hit singles – “The Matter” and “Asanwa”. It’s a feel good tune made with the special girls in mind.

[Gist] Original BoBo makes it as KissFM’s Song of the Week

Good morning AKSidites.
Reports reaching me this morning has it that one of the now trending made in Uyo songs – Original BoBo just bagged another laurel.


This time around, the award is coming in from Kiss 99.9 FM in Abuja; who on Sunday premiered the song on air to it’s listeners as their own Song of the Week.

It’s the third time this year that the song is getting such an award. It was Planet 101.1FM’s Song of the Week the same week it was released and few weeks later Atlantic 104.5FM also awarded it too.

The hit song is performed by AKSidi’s very own songbird – YeTee. It’s her second official single which was produced at Nectar Studios, Uyo by Reflex Soundz with assist production from DannyP and Mr.MyGalz.

He had his first single out at the age 10 without any prior music training and has gone on to drop more than 20 song collectively with two video which were all shot by the well known producer Mattmax. His first Single Famous was nominated for Nigerian music VIdeo award (NMVA) for his category which earn them a performance slot at the awards.

He formed a duo with the younger sister Alexis Albert Akpan (Lexeye) who started singing with the brother at age 8. Alexis is currently in Junior Secondary School in the same school with the brother and just like the brother is a prolific song writer, singer and an awesome performer on stage.”
